Job Title:
Welder / Laser Operator Overview This role involves welding and operating laser/CNC machines in a small team environment. You'll set up machines, follow blueprints, and help produce quality metal parts. Key Responsibilities Set up and run laser cutting machines using preloaded programs Read blueprints and ensure parts meet specifications Perform MIG and stick welding Operate other machines (mills, lathes, brake press, punch press) as needed Inspect parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measure) Monitor machines and make basic adjustments Assist with general shop and fabrication tasks Maintain a clean and safe work area Work with team members to meet production goals Required Skills & Experience 1+ year of laser or CNC machine operation experience 2+ years of welding experience (MIG required, stick preferred) Ability to read blueprints Experience using measuring tools Basic fabrication/machine shop experience Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude Good communication and teamwork skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with laser cutting equipment Familiarity with CNC machines (Mazak or similar) Background in fabrication or machine shop work Willingness to learn multiple machines Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Reliable attendance Work Environment Small shop (about 7 employees) Hands-on, industrial setting Work involves moving around the shop and handling metal parts Team-oriented and safety-focused Why Join? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
