$27•$28 per hour (Based on experience)
Position Summary:
We are currently seeking experienced MIG Welders to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for performing precision MIG welds on stainless steel components, including long welds on thin-gauge material. Ideal candidates will have strong blueprint-reading skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate MIG welding equipment according to specifications Read and interpret mechanical and shop drawings to plan work tasks Weld standard parts with average tolerances, including long seams on thin stainless steel Use templates, clamps, and measurement tools to position and fit parts accurately Select and use appropriate welding rods and fabricated parts Ensure all welding meets quality standards and dimensional accuracy Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required Technical school training in welding or equivalent hands-on experience Minimum 2 years of MIG welding experience, particularly with stainless steel Ability to read blueprints and use calipers or other measuring tools Strong focus on precision, safety, and independent work This is a contract to hire position.
