Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join a growing maintenance and fabrication team in Rogers, MN. This role is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining metal fixtures, equipment, and steel components using a variety of welding methods and fabrication tools. The ideal candidate has strong welding and fabrication experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Welding & Fabrication Fabricate, repair, and maintain metal fixtures, equipment, and steel components Perform MIG, TIG, arc, and wire-feed welding operations Use oxygen-acetylene equipment for cutting and fabrication tasks Analyze blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and work orders to determine welding requirements Assemble, cut, grind, and prepare materials for fabrication Equipment & Maintenance Support Operate drill presses, grinders, power saws, and hand tools Assist maintenance personnel with repair and fabrication projects as needed Maintain welding equipment and supply inventory Perform routine shop maintenance and cleanup duties Quality & Safety Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements Ensure completed welds and fabricated parts meet quality standards Utilize proper lifting techniques and material handling equipment when necessary
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or GED Ability to read blueprints and diagrams Good hand-eye coordination and strong attention to detail Basic math skills Ability to work independently with limited supervision Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical labor
Preferred:
Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience Welding or trade school training Forklift experience or certification Experience with MIG, TIG, and arc welding processes Manufacturing or industrial maintenance experience
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, welding fumes, and industrial equipment Frequent standing, bending, lifting, grinding, and material handling throughout the shift Regular lifting of materials ranging from 1-55 lbs Use of overhead hoists, lift tables, and powered industrial equipment as needed Required PPE includes welding hood, safety glasses, gloves, uniforms, and steel toe boots with metatarsal protection
