Traveling Welder with pay up to $35/hour in Minnesota.
Key Responsibilities:
Travel nationwide to support new construction, remodel, and maintenance projects at power plants Perform 80% technician work (inspection, cleaning, maintenance of bus duct systems) Perform 20% TIG welding on aluminum components (horizontal & vertical welding) Conduct stick welding on structural steel when required Install and refurbish bus duct systems (rigging, alignment, torquing, painting, plating) Work in confined industrial spaces and follow strict safety procedures Support outage and service call work under time-sensitive conditions Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as per project standards Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
Required Skills & Qualifications:
2+ years of TIG welding experience (aluminum preferred) OR technical school + 1 year experience Experience with aluminum pipe welding (1/8" to 1" thickness) Ability to perform stick welding on structural components Comfortable working in tight spaces and industrial environments Physically capable of demanding work schedules Willingness to travel extensively (60%+ of the year) Valid REAL ID or Passport Flexible to work long hours, day/night shifts, and changing schedules Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Cloud, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
