Job Title:
Welder (1st and 2nd Shift) Job Description This position offers the opportunity to perform a mix of TIG and MIG welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel in a fast-paced, job-shop environment. You will work from blueprints to produce a variety of metal products and display components, using updated equipment in a large, clean facility. This role is ideal for welders who want hands-on experience with diverse projects and the chance to grow into other areas such as fabrication and painting. Responsibilities Perform TIG (approximately 60%) and MIG (approximately 40%) welding on mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel components. Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications, dimensions, and weld requirements. work. Measure and mark materials using tape measures and other tools to ensure accurate cuts, fits, and weld placements. Work on a variety of projects in a job-shop environment where parts and assignments can change based on customer needs. Fabricate and assemble sheet metal parts and structures according to drawings and instructions. Inspect welds and finished products for quality, accuracy, and conformance to specifications, making adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and best practices at all times. Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet production schedules and quality standards in a fast-paced setting. Care for tools and equipment, reporting any issues or maintenance needs promptly. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in TIG or MIG welding in a production or fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with MIG welding processes. Hands-on experience with TIG welding processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for welding and fabrication work. Experience working with mild steel, aluminum, and stainless steel materials. Experience working in a fast-paced welding or fabrication role. Proficiency using a tape measure and basic fabrication tools. Experience with sheet metal work and related fabrication tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Technical degree or formal training in fabrication or welding. Experience with both MIG and TIG welding processes on multiple metals. Experience in a job-shop or custom metal products environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. Ability to adapt to changing projects and priorities. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
