This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the fabrication and assembly of high-quality aluminum and steel gate projects, ensuring precision and safety on every project. Ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience in welding and fabrication, a strong mechanical aptitude, a passion for craftsmanship, and a willingness to learn. MN Fence Supply is a fencing material wholesaler that provides material solutions to fencing contractors, which includes a full-service gate shop. Duties Perform MIG and TIG welding to produce aluminum and galvanized steel gates for the fencing industry. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes Use hand tools for various welding-related tasks such as sawing, bending, punching, tapping, grinding, cutting, and drilling. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and pipe cutting/notching tools safely during assembly tasks. Keeps work area clean and organized. Assist with quarterly inventory cycle counts in the welding shop. Prepares finished gates for shipping. Learn and assist with gate welding fabrication and finishing duties in the welding shop. Qualifications Proven manufacturing or construction site experience with hands-on welding and fabrication tasks. Skilled in MIG welding and TIG welding. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, and machining equipment. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain one; experience with construction or manufacturing environments highly desirable. General fabrication shop knowledge required. Experienced TIG and MIG welder preferred. Join us if you're passionate about precision craftsmanship in a collaborative setting!
