1st Shift Welder

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

Metal inert gas (MIG) weld 1/16" to 1/4" gauge mild and stainless-steel components together using .035 to .045 diameter fluxcore hardwire welding equipment. Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

Understand industrial safety procedures for welders and adhere to company safety standards at all times. Have good problem-solving skills, basic math skills. Able to take direction, communicate with others, and complete tasks efficiently with a high level of quality. Training and experience operating a forklift, jib crane, and overhead crane. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Able to interpret CAD and SolidWorks drawings.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level is usually moderate.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Experience welding. Practices a strong work ethic. Possesses qualities such as productivity, dependability, resourcefulness, efficiency, and professionalism.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Welding certification from an educational institution. Minimum two-year welding experience

JOB LOCATION

Works at the Waconia facility. Compensation starting at $24/hour based on experience
