Hours:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Job Summary Homecrest is seeking a Welder to join our production team. In this position, you will be responsible for setting up and welding products to meet quality standards. If you are dependable and have an excellent eye for detail, we would love to hear how you can contribute to our team's success! Job Duties Ensure a safe work environment for self and others, follow all safety rules and regulations, and demonstrate commitment to our safety program. Identify parts from work ticket, properly load and unload the welding fixture, and correctly locate areas to be welded. Work with Team Lead to clarify proper procedures. Perform MIG and TIG welding to assemble complete units according to drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Visually inspect completed weldments and identify quality issues. Clean off spatter and protrusions. Review and follow work instructions, management system procedures, and standard operating documents. Acknowledge problems that arise with the welding equipment and clearly communicate them. Regularly meet or exceed efficiency requirements and adjust to changes in production requirements. Work at a consistent pace, be prepared to work each day, and report to assigned work area in a punctual manner. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, change wire spools, etc. Attend mandatory team meetings and work required overtime as needed. Communicate with supervisor and coworkers in a professional manner. Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Keep facilities, materials, and work area clean and orderly. Perform all other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Completion of a vocational or technical welding program, previous welding experience, or on-the-job training preferred Basic reading and math skills Mechanical aptitude Ability to use measuring tools (e.g., tape measure, protractor, caliper) Ability to read and interpret weld drawings, sketches, and work instructions Detail oriented with the ability to recognize defects and non-conformities Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions Ability to work with limited supervision Benefits We are proud to offer a comprehensive benefits package that helps us support our team, including:
