We provide structural and miscellaneous steel for commercial construction projects in the four-state area. We are looking for motivated, experienced welder/fabricators for commercial construction projects. Everframe Steel offers a competitive salary and an excellent benefit plan. A Welder/Fabricator performs a variety of functions on the shop floor such as layout, measuring, punching, welding and material movement. This is a full-time, on-site position.
Job Description:
Reviews weld requirements from show drawings/weld procedures (size, spacing, location, etc.) Ability to read and understand weld symbols per AWS Removes weld splatter and scale from finished parts. Maintains welding equipment and sees that the work area is orderly and clean. Transport material by overhead crane, hoist or forklift when needed Chips, peens, and grinds material to prepare for welding or finish Welds structural and miscellaneous components Able to read and understand required W.P.S. (weld procedure) Requirements Previous experience in metal fabrication, welding, or a similar role. Proficiency in metal fabrication techniques such as cutting, bending, welding, and punching is essential. Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in metalworking, such as saws, grinders, drills, and welding machines, is also necessary.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods, work in non-climate-controlled environments, and lift up to 50 lbs .
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
