Job Description
Hiring for 1st and 2nd shift Welders! Welders are responsible for fabricating and welding components to achieve customer specification. Welder classifications are established the through demonstrated ability to GMAW, GTAW, Laser weld, operate and program automated processes, and weld different metal types. This position reports to area lead and area Supervisor
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Safely•wear proper PPE at all times Ability to Weld and Fabricate projects Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions Accountable for performing duties in a timely manner per instructions. Accountable for 100% verification of your work Accurately record pertinent information to reflect company and customer requirements. Adhere to company procedures and policies Promote good working relationships Identify problems, provide input to solutions, and initiate corrective action to prevent occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, or quality system, and to verify solutions are implemented.
CLASSIFICATIONS
1. Limited Experience Learning welding process 3. Operator with limited experience GMAW (Tacks, short welds, not structural), Robot weld repair and completion•Greater than 1 year of experience 5. Operator Independently GMAW structural / leak free welds / visually appealing, GTAW basics, read prints, fabricate, understand weld symbols 7. Operator with Setup and troubleshooting Proficient
GMAW, GTAW
of Al, SS, and mild steel, laser welding, complete complex fabrications, read prints with weld symbols 9. Trainer Ability to efficiently use and train all weld processes
PREFERRED
Experience welding Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum Experience with proficiency in GMAW, GTAW, and Laser welding processes Desire to run automated processes
RESPONSIBILITIES
Standing full shift Lift up to 30 lbs frequently (team lift weights greater than 30 lbs) Weld long distances during the work day Washington Metal Fabricators is a large contract based manufacturer located in Washington, MO.
