Job Title:
Welder / Fabricator Job Description This role offers the opportunity to work as a welder/fabricator in a small, hands-on shop environment, producing a wide variety of custom metal components rather than repetitive assembly-line work. You will use your welding, fabrication, and blueprint reading skills to manufacture finished metal products to precise specifications while contributing to a close-knit, collaborative team. Responsibilities Manufacture and fabricate finished metal products to meet customer and project specifications. Interpret and follow engineering blueprints and schematics to ensure accuracy of each project. Create a wide range of custom pieces, including both high-volume runs of a single part and small batches of many different SKUs. Perform more than simple production or assembly-line welding by adapting to varied and custom fabrication needs. Calculate and verify material measurements to ensure all components meet required dimensions and tolerances. Use MIG welding techniques and appropriate welding tools to produce high-quality welds. Fit and assemble metal components using hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures. Inspect completed work to confirm it meets quality standards and blueprint specifications. Collaborate with experienced welder/fabricators to solve fabrication challenges and continuously improve processes. Essential Skills Proficiency with MIG welding processes and welding tools. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints. Hands-on fabrication experience, including fitting and assembly of metal components. Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure and other measuring tools. Capability to calculate and verify material measurements against specifications. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a small, non-temperature-controlled shop environment. You will work on 1st shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The team operates as a close group, collaborating closely on custom fabrication projects in a practical, hands-on setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hernando, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
