Job Description
Overview Our business is growing and we are seeking multiple skilled and motivated Metal Fabricators/Welders to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a variety of welding techniques and fabrication skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Pay is based on experience and skill level. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce components. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) on steel and aluminum according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers and measuring tapes to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances. Operate power tools, hand tools, and CNC machining equipment safely and efficiently for fabrication tasks. Cut, shape, assemble, and weld sheet metal and other metal materials for construction or manufacturing projects. Follow safety protocols rigorously while working on construction sites or within fabrication shops; maintain a clean and organized workspace. Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings, ensure quality control, and meet project deadlines. Requirements Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within a manufacturing or construction environment. Knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, shop math, and basic math skills. Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG and TIG Familiarity with construction site procedures, crane operation awareness, forklift operation, and use of measuring instruments like calipers and measuring tapes. Ability to work with sheet metal fabrication processes using appropriate tools and safety measures. Experience adhering to safety protocols in a fabrication shop or construction setting; OSHA certification is a plus. Strong communication skills for interpreting technical drawings and collaborating effectively with team members. Press brake and other CNC equipment experience is a plus.
