Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Must be able to perform all functions of the basic welder classification. Must be able to work from verbal instructions, prints, or work orders. Required to setup equipment, prepare surfaces to be welded and weld parts. Must be able to use hand tools such as grinders, portable spot welder, hammers, screw drivers, vise clamps, fixtures and jigs, etc. Must be able to read and layout parts to complex prints and plan details of working procedure. Must be able to perform complex welds, such as but not limited to welds for cavity welds and non-pressure boilers. May perform additional duties as assigned by the department supervisor. Must have prompt and regular attendance.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES
: Keep work area clean, neat and orderly. Maintain inventory of parts used in area. Must report all accidents/injuries to department supervisor immediately. Follow all safety rules, policies and procedures Train basic welders.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

: General plant environment.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Must have basic math skills. Must be able to read blueprints and layout part to prints. Must have good hand-eye coordination. Must be able to demonstrate ability to weld complex welds Must have TIG experience and pass internal welding test Must complete the Career Readiness CertificationEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or GED is required.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
