  • Full-time Description We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Combo Welder to join our dynamic team within the Oil & Energy industry.
This role is crucial for ensuring the structural integrity and safety of pipelines, equipment, and infrastructure essential to energy production and distribution. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) techniques, allowing for versatility and precision in various welding tasks. The Combo Welder will work in challenging environments, often outdoors or onsite at energy facilities, maintaining adherence to industry standards and safety protocols. Responsibilities Perform high-quality welding tasks using SMAW and GMAW processes on pipelines, pressure vessels, and structural components. Interpret and work from blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings to execute assigned projects accurately. Inspect welded joints and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Maintain and operate welding equipment safely, ensuring regular maintenance and calibration as needed. Collaborate with engineers, safety officers, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues. Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Document welding activities, inspection results, and equipment usage for quality control and project tracking. Requirements Proven experience as a Combo Welder with proficiency in SMAW and GMAW welding techniques. Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CWB) relevant to the oil and energy sector is highly preferred. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications accurately. Strong knowledge of welding safety standards and the use of personal protective equipment. Physical ability to work in demanding environments including outdoor sites and confined spaces. Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity. Effective communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
