This role involves precise welding of stainless steel pipes and components using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques, ensuring adherence to strict quality standards and safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in pipe fabrication, blueprint reading, and various welding processes, contributing to the successful completion of complex projects across construction sites and manufacturing facilities. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and a commitment to excellence. Responsibilities Perform TIG welding on stainless steel pipes and sheet metal components with precision, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and cleaning surfaces using power tools, plasma cutters, and hand tools. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Utilize calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions and tolerances. Execute pipe threading, fitting, and assembly tasks in accordance with ASME codes & standards. Operate fabrication equipment such as press brake machines, plasma cutters, and press brakes for shaping metal components. Apply welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding as required for specific projects. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA regulations and safety procedures related to rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and power tool usage. Collaborate with team members on mechanical assembly, ductwork fabrication, and structural installation tasks. Conduct quality inspections on welds using visual assessment and non-destructive testing methods to ensure compliance with industry standards. Support project timelines by efficiently managing multiple tasks from fabrication to final assembly. Qualifications Proven experience as a Stainless Steel TIG Pipe Welder with a strong background in construction site environments or manufacturing facilities. Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, Soldering, Plasma Cutting, and welding techniques. Skilled in reading blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately. Familiarity with ASME codes & standards governing pipe fabrication and welding practices. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, forklifts, machining tools, and press brake machines safely. Mechanical knowledge of pipe threading, sheet metal fabrication, ductwork systems, and assembly processes. Basic math skills including measurements with calipers and micrometers for precise fabrication. Experience working with construction site safety protocols including crane operation and rigging procedures. Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team across diverse project scopes.
