Role:
The Fabricator/MIG Flux Core Welder II is a full-time position based at our Lincolnton, NC manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for fabricating and welding frames, subassemblies, and components for machines such as asphalt pavers, brooms, graders, loaders, road wideners, tack tanks, and Distributor trucks. Role, You Will:
Need a minimum of 5 years on-the-job fabricating/welding experience Five (5) plus years of experience using Flux Core Positions parts in jigs, fixtures on a bench/floor, or clamps parts together along layout marks Scarfs or grooves weld prior to applying filler metal Applies flux to workpiece instead of filler rod Lays out, positions, and tack welds workpiece Weld along vertical, horizontal or overhead weld lines Examine weld for bead size and other specifications Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter Cleans or degreases parts Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
