In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality metal structures and parts, adhering to safety standards and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of welding techniques and fabrication skills to contribute to our company's success. Responsibilities Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately produce metal components. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Fabricate ductwork, structural steel, and other metal assemblies while adhering to ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards. Maintain a clean, safe work environment by following safety protocols and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Collaborate with team members on projects involving mechanical fabrication, assembly, and installation on construction sites or in shop environments. Qualifications Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding within a manufacturing or construction setting. Strong knowledge of welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork, machining, soldering, plasma cutting, and assembly processes. Mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in shop math for accurate measurements and calculations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding operations and fabrication environments. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and efficiently. Construction site experience is a plus; familiarity with ASME codes & standards is highly desirable.
