Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Welder will be responsible for, but not limited to: Ability to read and follow verbal instructions. Must have good math skills and be able to add or subtract feet, inches and fractions. Must pass 1 inch thick 2-G welder qualification. Must pass tack welder qualification (visual macro break test). Ability to use carbon air-arc for back gouging.
Position Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of welding structural steel experience. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Ability to read a tape measure. Ability to operate overhead cranes. Current or past AWS certification for
FCAW, MCAW.
Knowledge of health and safety procedures. A team player, who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates within a collegial, yet demanding, work environment. Organization skills and the ability to be flexible in managing changing priorities. Communication skills-both written and oral. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
