Position:
Structural Fabrication Fitter Location:
Wilson, NC Pay:
Starting at $30/hour
Experience:
4+ years of experience in the fitting, fabrication, and welding of various structural components (tubes, angles, channels, plates). Experience operating a forklift, overhead crane, and other material-handling tools safely and efficiently.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED.
Type:
Full-time;
Contract Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm (Ability to work OT as needed) Greene Resources is seeking a Structural Fabrication Fitter to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:
Recognize and repair bad welds. Maintain and set up all welding machines as needed for different thicknesses and material types. Cut metal using both plasma and acetylene cutting torches. Perform Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG), Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG), and Electrode welding (Stick). Achieve required tolerances listed on drawings. Other duties as required.
Position Requirements:
Must be mechanically inclined. Must be able to pass weld tests in all positions (required) and provide any current weld certificates. Ability to read blueprints, AutoCAD drawings, sketches, and some verbal instructions to achieve required results. General mathematical knowledge with the ability to properly use and read a measuring tape and other measuring tools. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lift 50+ lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.
