Job Title:
Welder Job Description This role focuses on welding components for accessories used in a popular product line. You will perform MIG welding on 1/8" and 1/4" steel, use jigs and fixtures to accurately lay out pieces, and assist with fabrication tasks to prepare parts for weld stations. The position offers variety, as you will work on different products and move between welding stations as needed. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on 1/8" and 1/4" steel components according to specifications and quality standards. Use jigs and fixtures to lay out and position pieces accurately before welding. Set up and adjust your own welding machine to meet specific job requirements. Load parts into automated or semi-automated welding equipment as required. Assist with fabrication tasks to prepare parts for weld stations, including basic part prep and fit-up. Interpret and follow blueprints and welding symbols to ensure correct dimensions and weld placement. Maintain consistent weld quality and appearance across production runs of 50-250 pieces per product. Move between different weld booths and stations based on production needs. Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and timelines. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding on 1/8" and 1/4" steel. Ability to set up and adjust your own welding machine for different jobs. Experience using jigs and fixtures to lay out and position parts for welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols. Hands-on experience with welding and basic fabrication processes. Capability to load parts into welding equipment safely and efficiently. Attention to detail to maintain consistent weld quality across multiple parts. Flexibility to work on different products and move between stations as needed. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in a production or manufacturing welding environment. Comfort working with a variety of steel components and product types. Strong teamwork skills and a positive, outgoing attitude. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and product runs. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role is based in a production facility with a total of four weld booths and an additional welding station. You will rotate between stations and work on different products, typically welding batches of 50-250 of the same item before moving on to another product. The environment is filled with energy and team-oriented. Standard hours for one opening are 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with some work on Friday as needed. Another opening runs from 4:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday, with occasional work on one additional day as needed. You will work with MIG welding equipment, jigs, fixtures, and fabrication tools in an industrial setting that emphasizes safety and organization. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Fargo, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
