Full-Time Associated Staffing is hiring an experienced Welder/Fabricator in Central City, NE! This is a great opportunity for a skilled welder with fabrication experience who takes pride in producing high-quality work and is comfortable working from blueprints and technical drawings. Welder/Fabricator Responsibilities Fit, fabricate, weld and assemble structural steel, piping systems, process skids and other metal components Perform MIG (GMAW), flux-core (FCAW), Stick (SMAW) and/or TIG (GTAW) welding as required Complete welds according to job specifications, engineering drawings and applicable welding procedures Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols and work instructions Perform layout, joint preparation and fit-up of components Use oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment for material preparation Operate grinders, drills, saws, air tools and other fabrication equipment Verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring tools Safely operate forklifts, rigging and material-handling equipment Assist with assembly and testing of completed components Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs Complete required production and quality documentation Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area Work closely with supervisors, quality personnel and other team members to complete projects accurately and efficiently What We're Looking For Previous welding and metal fabrication experience Ability to pass applicable welding tests Experience with MIG, flux-core, Stick and/or TIG welding Ability to read blueprints, fabrication drawings and weld symbols Strong layout, fit-up and measurement skills Experience using hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment Ability to use oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to work overtime or a flexible schedule when needed Preferred Experience Structural steel and miscellaneous metal fabrication Pipe spool or process skid fabrication ASME pipe welding TIG welding in the 6G position Pressure vessel fabrication Stair, platform and handrail fabrication Mills, drill presses, ironworkers and other shop equipment Current welding certifications Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel and work in various positions throughout the shift Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to work in a fabrication environment with noise, dust, welding fumes, heat and varying temperatures Ability to wear required PPE, including welding hood, gloves, hearing protection, safety footwear and respirator when required Put your welding and fabrication skills to work!
