Sidump'r employees are committed to providing our customers with the best quality trailer and superior customer service. Niewohner Brothers purchased Sidump'r in 2010 and relocated operations to a 350,000 square foot factory in Columbus NE due to a growing product line. General Purpose Sidump'r is looking for a(n) Welder to lay out, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms using knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and engineering requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using MIG or other welding equipment Removes rough spots from workpiece, using portable grinder, hand file, or scraper Maintain proper equipment; repair when needed Interpret drawings and plans; carry out work accordingly Produce templates (jigs) and other work aids Lays out, positions, and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using the proper tools/equipment. Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances, caliper, tape measure and squares and levels. Follows the schedule established to meet production needs Understand the Global Software Program and accurately clock onto jobs and capture time and parts. All other duties as assigned for operational effectiveness Minimum Qualifications Prior MIG welding experience preferred Must be able to pass an in-house welding test Must be safety minded Attention to detail and high standard of quality is required Must be a team player who can work effectively in a team environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to read blue prints/drawings Willingness and ability to learn and perform other jobs
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally Continually required to stand Frequently required to walk Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl

$20.00 - $26.00 per hour
