We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a busy steel fabrication shop supporting precast concrete manufacturing operations. In this role, you will operate MIG welding equipment and use blueprints and fabrication layouts to produce steel components used in precast concrete products. This is an excellent temp-to-hire opportunity for a dependable welder who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Strong attendance, safety awareness, and a solid work ethic can lead to a rewarding long-term career with opportunities for advancement. Responsibilities Operate MIG welding equipment Use cutting torches, grinders, and deburring equipment Coordinate fabrication layouts Read blueprints and use a tape measure accurately Perform basic math, including addition and subtraction Follow detailed instructions Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and specifications Read and understand piece tickets Follow detailed work instructions, production standards, and safety procedures Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for accuracy and quality Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or GED One to two years of related welding or steel fabrication experience Previous MIG welding experience required Welding certification preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication layouts, and technical specifications Ability to read and understand piece tickets Proficiency with tape measure and basic mathBenefits and Perks:
