We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in quality workmanship and can fabricate and weld custom gates, fence panels, ornamental fence systems, base plates, and other custom metal components in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have MIG, TIG, and Stick welding experience, strong fabrication skills, and the ability to independently build custom gate systems from drawings and specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum fence and gate components Fabricate custom gates, base plates, and various metal components as needed Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and work orders Measure, cut, fit, and assemble gate frames and fence components Layout and fabricate custom gates to customer specifications Install hinges, rollers, tracks, latches, and gate hardware Assist with fabrication and preparation of automated gate systems Operate welding, cutting, grinding, and fabrication equipment safely Ensure completed gates meet company quality standards and project requirements Troubleshoot fabrication issues and make necessary adjustments Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with field installations and repairs as needed Follow all company safety procedures Qualifications Minimum 2 years of welding and fabrication experience preferred Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding ; strong MIG welding skills required Ability to weld steel, aluminum, and other metals commonly used in fence and gate fabrication Experience fabricating custom gates and ornamental fence products preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and shop specifications Strong understanding of gate construction, alignment, and hardware installation Experience using fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drill presses, ironworkers, and welding equipment Ability to accurately measure, layout, and fabricate projects with minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions when required Preferred Qualifications Experience with cantilever and slide gate fabrication AWS welding certification (preferred but not required) Forklift or equipment operation experience Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round employment Overtime opportunities Paid holidays and vacation Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment Schedule Monday through Friday Full-time Overtime available License/Certification Driver's License (Required) Work Location In person Statewide Fence Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values quality craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.
