Job Description
Welding Fabricator The Welding Fabricator is a key player in crafting dynamic event elements, set pieces, and props at BUZZ. Specializing in various welding techniques, this role is crucial in precisely executing design concepts, ensuring that the final products meet our high-quality standards and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the design and production teams to interpret and execute design concepts, ensuring that the final welded products align with client visions and meet BUZZ's quality standards.
- Utilize various welding techniques to create custom event elements, set pieces, and props, ensuring structural integrity and durability.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, always ensuring proper usage and safety.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine the best approach for each welding project.
- Perform quality control checks on welded products to ensure accuracy, durability, and overall quality.
- Assist with the setup and teardown of event elements on-site, ensuring proper installation and visual appeal according to design plans.
- Manage inventory of welding materials and supplies, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
- Continuously develop and refine welding and fabrication skills to improve efficiency and expand the range of available production options.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth project coordination and successful completion of tasks.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in fabrication, welding, or a related field, preferably within the events industry or a similar environment. Technical proficiency in various welding techniques is required.
- Technical
- Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Proficient in operating and maintaining welding tools and equipment, with a strong focus on safety.
- Adaptable
- A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and find creative solutions.
- High-functioning
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce high-quality work while meeting deadlines and budget constraints.
- Collaborate
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work well within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Physical Stamina
- Capable of lifting and moving heavy items of up to 50lbs. standing for extended periods and performing other physical tasks.
- Flexible
