This position requires strong skills in both structural fitting and welding. Candidates must be safety-focused, dependable, and able to work in a fast-paced industrial environment. This is a Long-term, full-time job. Key Responsibilities Perform structural fitting and welding using FCAW, SMAW, and MIG Fit, align, assemble, and weld structural steel components Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, layouts, and weld symbols Measure, cut, bevel, grind, and prepare materials for fitting and welding Tack weld and position components before final welding Perform welding in flat, vertical, overhead, and other required positions Fabricate, repair, and modify steel structures and industrial components Inspect fit-up and completed welds for quality and compliance with specifications Use levels, squares, tape measures, and other fitting tools accurately Follow all OSHA and jobsite safety procedures Maintain a clean and safe work area Pass required fitting and welding tests before hire Qualifications At least 3 years of industrial welding and fitting experience Previous structural steel, shipyard, fabrication, construction, or heavy industrial experience preferred Ability to pass a 3G/4G weld test using FCAW and/or SMAW Strong experience with structural fit-up, layout, and assembly Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols Experience welding in multiple positions, including vertical and overhead Ability to work at heights and in confined or tight spaces Must have basic welding and fitting tools, if required Reliable transportation Must be authorized to work in the United States Ability to speak Portuguese is strongly preferred Skills Required Lift 50+ lbs Ability to climb ladders and work in tight compartments Standing for extended periods Equipment maintenance knowledge Strong safety mindset Compensation $16/hour, 40 regular hours per week Overtime available and paid at 1.5 times $150 tax-free per diem Per diem is paid separately and is not included in hourly wages Company-subsidized shared apartment available Benefits Health insurance Paid PTO Pre-employment physical required Drug screening required
