The job summary:
Weld/fabricate parts based on blueprint requirements on time and with minimal waste. While not inclusive, this position will provide support in the following areas of the
Fabrication Department:
Weld/Fabricate:
This position is 90-95% TIG welding and requires experience.
  • Grind/detail welds and parts to match stock finish on prints.
  • Straighten welded and fabricated parts to meet internal and customer requirements. Ability to set up machine for different material types and sizes.
  • Demonstrated ability to layout, fit and weld plates, tubing and pipe.
  • Perform fusion welding of sheet metal parts.
  • Read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Fabricate complex frame assemblies to print.
  • Work within tolerances of +
•.010' to .020' frequently.
Record keeping:
  • Complete all required recording and reporting forms and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Document actions by completing required logs.
  • Perform inspection of related records for completion, accuracy and readability.
  • Accurately count, records and resolve any quantity or completeness discrepancies prior to accepting responsibility.
  • Accurately count and record all quantities prior to forwarding to next work station.
