The job summary:
Weld/fabricate parts based on blueprint requirements on time and with minimal waste. While not inclusive, this position will provide support in the following areas of the
Fabrication Department:
Weld/Fabricate:
This position is 90-95% TIG welding and requires experience.
- Grind/detail welds and parts to match stock finish on prints.
- Straighten welded and fabricated parts to meet internal and customer requirements. Ability to set up machine for different material types and sizes.
- Demonstrated ability to layout, fit and weld plates, tubing and pipe.
- Perform fusion welding of sheet metal parts.
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Fabricate complex frame assemblies to print.
- Work within tolerances of +
•.010' to .020' frequently.
Record keeping:
- Complete all required recording and reporting forms and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Document actions by completing required logs.
- Perform inspection of related records for completion, accuracy and readability.
- Accurately count, records and resolve any quantity or completeness discrepancies prior to accepting responsibility.
- Accurately count and record all quantities prior to forwarding to next work station.
