Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team in Plattsburgh, NY. In this essential role, you will execute a variety of production tasks within a factory environment—primarily focused on high-quality arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG methods, pre-welding assembly, and maintaining robotic equipment. The ideal candidate brings a strong commitment to quality, teamwork, and strict adherence to safety standards in an industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities Welding & Assembly:
Perform arc welding on stainless steel using MIG/MAG methods. Perform pre-welding assembly, tack welding, and all instructed manufacturing tasks. Set up, inspect, and maintain welding equipment and robotic tools. Provide technical guidance to junior welders.
Quality Assurance & Inspection:
Conduct visual inspections of welds and ongoing quality checks (including self-inspections). Identify parts and promptly report any deviations or quality concerns to the Team Lead.
Production & Material Handling:
Handle and store raw materials and finished goods properly. Execute operations according to work instructions and schedules driven by the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Pack finished products, parts, or vehicles for shipment, completing tally sheets as required.
Safety & Work Environment:
Prepare and maintain clean, safe production areas adhering to 5S, ESD, and EHS regulations. Maintain special process qualifications as required. Profile Minimum of 3 years of professional welding experience required. At least 2 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Assembly experience is highly ideal (preferred, but not required). Successful completion of a practical Weld Testing evaluation. Arc Welding Certification (from AWS, SENAI, or an equivalent body). Knowledge of MIG, TIG, and STICK welding processes. Ability to obtain and maintain site-specific
Special Process Certifications :
Torquing (required for all operators) Crimping (electrical) Riveting (trained and certified operators only) Strong technical welding expertise and high attention to detail. Proficiency in English for daily operations, safety protocols, and team collaboration. Strong commitment to quality, effective teamwork, and clear communication.
Pay:
$31.00 - $35.00 per hour
