Job Description

Experienced Welder - MIG/TIG Sherrill, NY | Contract-to-Hire | $23.50-$25.38/hr Briggs & Stratton is growing, and we are looking for experienced Welders to join the production team in Sherrill. This is a strong opportunity for someone who takes pride in quality work, wants steady hours, and is looking for a path into a long-term role with a well-known leader in commercial power equipment manufacturing.
Available Shifts A Shift:
Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM-4:30
PM Pay:
$23.50/hr
B Shift:
Sunday-Thursday, 7:30 PM-6:00
AM Pay:
$25.38/hr Overtime may be available, including Fridays. What You'll Be Doing In this role, you'll support the fabrication team by welding components used in commercial lawn mower production.
Responsibilities include:
Performing MIG and TIG welding on manufactured components Welding in various positions to ensure strong, durable finished products Setting machine voltage and wire speeds to achieve proper fusion Maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Following safety procedures and keeping your work area organized Working as part of a team focused on production, quality, and safety What We're Looking For At least 1 year of MIG/TIG welding experience preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stay active throughout the shift Strong attendance and reliability Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship A safety-focused mindset and willingness to work as part of a team This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a company that offers stability, growth potential, and a strong local team environment.
