Job Description

AEROSPACE WELDER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welds metal parts together using both MIG and TIG processes Operates Robotic Welding Machine Must be able to perform vertical up maneuver Performs related tasks such as cutting and grinding Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding. Dimensionally and visually inspect parts for adherence to customer requirements Reads routers, blueprints, and sketches of part to determine dimensional specifications and operating requirements Performs required preventative maintenance procedures on assigned welding equipment within specified time frames
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED You must have at least 5+ years of Tig Welding Experience Current certification to D17.1 preferred Blueprint reading and ability to interpret welding symbols and call outs You must have at least 2+ years of Aerospace Tig Welding on Inconnel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum Experience with Robotic Welding Ability to read and comprehend instructions and blueprints in English as required. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to weld specific metals; Steel and aluminum Ability to weld thickness ranging from .032-.090 WORK
ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The position requires frequent lifting, pushing and pulling objects that are 50 pounds or heavier.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations. Follow Company safety rules. Report the absence of or defect in any protective equipment or clothing to the Supervisor or Manager immediately. Maintain a clean and safe work area.
