Standard Internship $ Paid $14.50/hr Full Time Part Time Description We are a family owned sheet metal job shop in Marion Indiana since 1982. Our intern program is ran by Mike Wiley and our site supervisor Curt Raffensperger. We are looking for weld students that are interested in welding as a career. During the internship they will learn 1. MIG Welding 2. Spot welding and how to use the spot welder 3. Robotic welding Operator
  • they will be trained on how to run the robotic welders and how to detect any issues. 4. Cobot welder operation
  • learn how to operate and program the cobot 5. TIG Welding
  • They will be trained and introduced to Tig Welding 6. Basic Blue print reading 7. Using quality intruments ( square, Calipers, Tape measure) Also the opportunity to learn the following 1. Laser/light welder operation 2. Quality
  • Run Faro arm, document PPAPS, Balloon drawings, Slip gauges 3.
Fork truck operation with certification 4. Other manufacturing workcenters (Fiber laser, Brakepress, Turret, Whitney, assembly, Debluing, ect.) 5. Opportunity for weld Certifications by the end of Internship. Responsibilities They will be responsible to learn how to run product in all workcenters, use clock system, identify a quality defect, operate all machines in a safe manner. Show up on time when school is in session.
  • Intern must provide own Weld Helmet
  • Provide own proper footware Qualifications
  • To actively be enrolled in a weld class
  • To pass an internal Weld Test
  • Must be 18 years of Age Learning Objectives 1.
To safely set up and operate all machines 2. How the manufacturing process works and how to document the parts through the process 3. To successfully be able to read a blueprint and self check all measurements 4. How to read all Weld symbols on prints. 5. To learn the different methods of welding and why they are used in certain situations.
