About the Role We are seeking a skilled Welding Technician to perform precision TIG welding on stainless steel and aluminum components, contributing to the manufacturing of high-quality parts. In this role, you will apply your expertise in blueprint reading, precision measurement, and problem-solving to ensure the integrity and accuracy of weldments. Your proficiency in TIG welding and commitment to quality standards will be essential to our success. Responsibilities Set up and expertly operate TIG welding equipment to fabricate parts within specified tolerances. Interpret complex welding blueprints, travelers, and work instructions to ensure accurate execution. Precisely position parts using fixtures and various holding devices to achieve proper alignment for welding. Employ precision measuring instruments and gauges to verify that parts meet stringent dimensional requirements. Actively participate in problem-solving activities to address and resolve welding-related challenges. Mentor and train junior welders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development. Adhere to all quality standards and procedures to maintain the highest levels of product integrity. Qualifications Required Skills High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of hands-on welding experience. Demonstrated experience in a metal fabrication or machining environment. Proficiency in TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum. Preferred Skills Experience with various welding techniques, including flux core, stick, and carbon steel. Certification in GTAW (TIG) is highly desirable. Strong math and troubleshooting abilities. Familiarity with basic welding inspection techniques and visual inspection.
