Overview Join our dynamic team as a Welder and play a vital role in fabricating, assembling, and installing high-quality piping systems, structural components, and specialized equipment. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects across manufacturing, construction, and maintenance sectors. As a Welder, you'll utilize your technical skills to interpret blueprints and schematics, ensuring precise welds that meet industry standards. Your expertise will contribute directly to safe, efficient, and durable installations that support critical infrastructure like piping systems, sprinkler setups, HVAC units, and more. Responsibilities Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine welding requirements and procedures. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and pipe welding to join metals accurately according to specifications. Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, threading pipes, and assembling parts using hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols. Install piping systems for plumbing, fire sprinkler fitting, HVAC applications, or pipeline projects with precision pipe fitting and pipe threading skills. Conduct quality inspections of welds using calipers and other measuring tools; interpret schematics and technical drawings to ensure compliance with ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) codes & standards and NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards. Maintain a safe work environment by following safety regulations related to construction sites, power tool safety, rigging procedures, and NFPA standards for fire safety. Assist with maintenance tasks or repairs on existing piping or structural systems as needed. Requirements Proven experience in welding techniques including MIG, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and pipe welding within manufacturing or construction environments. Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of pipe installation processes such as threading, bending tubes, assembly of piping systems, and pipefitting. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in fabrication and installation tasks; familiarity with calipers and other measurement devices. Knowledge of safety regulations related to construction sites; commitment to adhering to all safety protocol standards including NFPA guidelines. Experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing settings involving plumbing, HVAC systems, or fire sprinkler fitting is highly desirable. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; ability to interpret technical schematics accurately. Ability to work collaboratively within teams while maintaining a focus on quality workmanship; flexibility to adapt to project needs.
