Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication projects, utilizing advanced welding techniques and mechanical skills to produce high-quality metal components. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate production. Perform various welding processes including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to achieve precise cuts and welds. Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, metal materials, and other components using plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Fabricate metal structures by welding, cutting, grinding, and assembling parts with mechanical blueprint interpretation skills. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols diligently during all fabrication activities. Collaborate with team members on assembly projects, ensuring quality control at every stage of production. Experience Proven experience working on construction sites or in fabrication shops involving metal fabrication and welding tasks. Hands-on experience with crane operation is preferred for material handling and positioning. Familiarity with the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Knowledge of interpreting technical drawings and blueprints for accurate assembly and fabrication. Skilled in various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Mechanical knowledge related to blueprint reading, machining processes, plasma cutting, assembly procedures, and mechanical fabrication standards. Strong adherence to safety protocols with experience working in environments that require strict safety compliance. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
