In this role, you will be responsible for taking projects from raw materials to finished products. You will read blueprints, cut and shape metal parts, weld components using various techniques, and grind/finish surfaces to ensure a high-quality final product.Responsibilities:
Fabrication & Layout:
Read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and weld symbols to plan layouts and execute precise cuts, bends, and fits.Welding:
Perform high-quality welds (MIG/TIG/Stick depending on your shop's specific need) on various materials like steel, aluminum, or stainless steel.Grinding & Finishing:
Prep raw metal edges before welding and grind, blend, and polish completed welds to meet quality and aesthetic standards.Quality Control:
Inspect finished workpieces to ensure compliance with project specifications, tolerances, and safety standards.Equipment Maintenance:
Operate and maintain standard shop equipment safely, including band saws, ironworkers, grinders, and torches.Working hours:

Strong math skills with the ability to read a tape measure, calipers, and protractors down to precise fractions/decimals.Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work comfortably while wearing required PPE (welding hood, respirator, safety glasses).Safety Mindset:
