Position Summary:
A Welder will interact with the shop supervisor and other team members to ensure that jobs are completed in a safe, consistent, accurate and timely manner. Essential Duties include but are not limited to: Promotes and demonstrates Wurtec's core values (dedicated, hardworking, ambitious, willing to accept responsibility, and integrity). Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and legal regulations, including Safety Data Sheets, Occupational Safety and Health Act, and Environmental Protection Act. Use of GMAW and GTAW welding equipment to manufacture parts and assemblies. Must be able to become CWB Certified. Operate other necessary equipment and perform necessary tasks to complete parts to specification. Arranging and staging of parts to be welded. Regularly review and follow all ISO documentation relating to the quality system. Maintains supplies by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies and notifying lead or supervisor of said supplies. Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements i.e. "Continual Improvement". Report fabrication issues and assist with resolutions. Full-time/in-person attendance is an essential function of this job. All other duties as assigned. Technical Skills:
Familiarity with jigs and fixtures Ability to read engineering drawings and print. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools. Experience working with metalworking tools. Aptitude for learning company ERP, Epicor. Basic computer skills, data entry, and Microsoft Office. Adaptability to cross train in other departments to satisfy customer needs.

Detail oriented, flexible, and exhibit effective prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment. Proficient verbal and written communication skills. Works effectively both independently and as a team. Works in a time effective manner and follows systematic approaches and conducts appropriate follow-up. Service and detail oriented. Can take directions and provide back-up support where needed. Education & Experience Experience in a manufacturing facility. Minimum 1 year welding experience High School Diploma or GED CWB certified or the ability to obtain certification.
Work Environment:
This role primarily operates in a warehouse environment that is not climate controlled. The noise level is described as moderate and may be exposed to oils, fumes or airborne particles, or hazardous traffic conditions and requires the use of limbs to operate machinery. This role requires occasional lifting to 50 lbs. and requires standing for long periods of time, kneeling, neck rotation, pushing, reaching, stopping/twisting, grasping/gripping, pulling, reaching overhead, and squatting. Near visual and far acuity, and the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech is required. This role is not eligible to considered for remote work.
