Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality structures and products, ensuring adherence to safety standards and engineering specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing a wide range of welding techniques and fabrication skills to bring innovative designs to life. Required Skills and Abilities
- Ability to plan details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job.
- Ability to repair and fabricate various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment.
- Ability to perform fabrication tasks such as cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts.
- Ability to use plasma cutting equipment effectively.
- Ability to monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage.
- Ability to prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
- Ability to maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
- Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding, including designs, uses, maintenance and repair. Qualifications
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship OR successful completion of an in-company, three-year training program required.
- Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models and blueprints.
- Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments.
- Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hourBenefits:
