Job Description
Job Overview We are a hydraulic cylinder repair shop seeking a Fitter/Welder to join our team. Duties Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and welding processes. Measure materials using tape measures and calipers. Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), and Air Carbon Arc Gouging. Fabricate metal components by cutting, bending, welding, grinding, and assembling parts to technical specifications. Operate overhead cranes safely during fabrication or assembly processes. Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering strictly to safety protocols to prevent accidents or injuries. Skills Proficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting technical drawings accurately. Strong knowledge of various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and welding. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, , tape measures, and shop math for precise fabrication. Ability to operate power tools such as grinders, drills, saws, as well as hand tools effectively.
