Welder Job Description Join our team as a Welder, where you will work a regular schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with opportunities for overtime from Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 4:40 PM. Your role will primarily involve fabricating, installing, and welding a variety of pipe supports and brackets using MIG welding techniques with flux-core (.045) wire. Responsibilities Fabricate, install, and weld various pipe supports and brackets. Perform MIG welding using flux-core (.045) wire. Read and interpret detailed drawings and blueprints for pipe support styles. Accurately measure materials and read a tape measure. Work collaboratively as part of an assembly team and cross-train with other members. Assist with additional assembly tasks, including threaded pipe work, setting and installing engines and compressors, and disassembly and reassembly of components. Operate or work from JLG boom lifts or scissor lifts when required to access elevated piping. Follow all safety procedures, including wearing a harness and tying off when working at heights (up to 20-25 feet). Work mandatory overtime when production demands require it. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG and flux core welding. Experience using .045 wire for welding. Ability to weld in a horizontal position. Blueprint reading skills. Previous experience in welding steel. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly work. Mechanical inclination. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Strong measuring skills and ability to accurately read a tape measure. Basic to advanced welding skills, depending on experience level. Comfortable working in a team-based, hands-on assembly environment. Willingness to cross-train and assist with non-welding tasks. Comfortable working at heights while properly using fall protection. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Youngstown, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
