Welder Job Description Join a dynamic team in Zanesville, Ohio, as a skilled Welder/Fabricator. This full-time position on the 1st shift involves performing MIG welding, structural fabrication, and assembly work. You will play a crucial role in interpreting blueprints and using various fabrication tools to ensure quality standards. Responsibilities Perform welding operations on components, including setting up equipment and utilizing MIG and other techniques. Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and engineering drawings to accurately layout, fit, and position parts. Cut, grind, and prepare metal components using saws, shears, and grinding equipment. Inspect completed welds to ensure structural integrity and adhere to all safety policies and OSHA guidelines. Maintain tools, machinery, and a clean, organized work area. Essential Skills Experience in welding within a manufacturing or shop environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols. Proficiency with hand and power tools, including grinders and saws. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with MIG and flux core welding techniques. Knowledge of structural steel fabrication. Why Work Here? Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing and fabrication shop setting with a small team of 15 employees. The role involves working on the 1st shift with 10-hour workdays from Monday to Thursday. You will work both independently and as part of a team on various projects. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Zanesville, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.50/hr.
