Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, along with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role requires a commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards in a construction or manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for fabrication tasks. Conduct assembly of components according to ASME codes and standards. Operate cranes and forklifts safely to move materials as needed. Measure and cut materials using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and quality standards. Participate in rigging operations for heavy components when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Requirements Proven experience in welding/fitting within construction or manufacturing settings. Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication processes. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents accurately. Strong understanding of basic math principles for measurements and calculations. Experience with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and soldering techniques. Knowledge of safety standards related to welding operations (ASME codes & standards). Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
