Job Description

Elite Workforce LLC is seeking a skilled Carbide Hardfacing Technician to perform the application, repair, and maintenance of tungsten carbide and wear-resistant coatings on industrial components and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with welding, brazing, hardfacing, metal fabrication, and inspection processes used to improve the durability and performance of high-wear parts. This position plays a critical role in extending equipment life, reducing downtime, and ensuring the quality and reliability of customer products. #IND123 Essential Duties and Responsibilities Apply tungsten carbide and wear-resistant materials to metal components using approved welding and hardfacing processes. Perform carbide brazing, hardfacing, overlay welding, and related repair techniques. Repair and rebuild worn industrial parts, tools, and equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, specifications, and technical drawings. Prepare materials and surfaces for welding, brazing, and hardfacing operations. Set up, operate, and maintain welding and fabrication equipment. Inspect completed work for dimensional accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications. Perform grinding, cutting, fitting, finishing, and polishing operations as required. Monitor welding parameters and maintain process quality standards. Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations. Maintain clean and organized work areas. Document production activities, repairs, and quality inspections. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum 2 years of experience in welding, hardfacing, fabrication, or industrial maintenance preferred. Knowledge of welding processes including TIG, MIG, Stick, or oxy-fuel techniques. Experience working with carbide products, hardfacing materials, or wear-resistant coatings preferred. Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in physically demanding environments. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Preferred Qualifications Welding certification from AWS or equivalent organization. Experience with tungsten carbide applications. Experience in mining, oil and gas, construction, manufacturing, or heavy equipment industries. Forklift and overhead crane experience. Fabrication and machining experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of welding metallurgy and wear-resistant materials. Ability to use grinders, torches, cutting equipment, and welding machines safely. Strong attention to detail and quality control. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent time-management and organizational skills. Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement. Working Conditions Manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial shop environment. Exposure to heat, noise, dust, welding fumes, and moving equipment. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, climbing, and manual dexterity required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive hand, arm, and upper-body movements. Adequate vision, hearing, and hand-eye coordination to safely perform required tasks.
