Known for precision craftsmanship and innovative solutions, we are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder and Assembly Technician to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence in metal fabrication.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Welder/Fabricator Technician to perform high-quality aluminum welding and fabrication tasks in our fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in aluminum welding (MIG primarily, TIG is a plus), strong mechanical skills, and experience in assembling complex components for metal fabrication and GSE projects.
Responsibilities:
Perform MIG welding on aluminum and other metals, including steel and stainless steel, to meet project specifications. TIG welding knowledge is a plus. Assemble fabricated components and structures according to blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Read and interpret technical drawings, assembly instructions, and welding symbols to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Inspect welds and assembled parts for quality, ensuring adherence to tolerance and industry standards. Operate fabrication tools and equipment, such as grinders, drills, plasma cutters, and cutting tools, as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and maintain high standards of craftsmanship. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and company policies. Assist in other fabrication tasks, including material preparation and finishing, as required.
Qualifications:
Minimum (1 year) experience with MIG welding aluminum and/or steel (TIG experience is a plus) Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols. Strong knowledge of welding techniques and metal properties, particularly aluminum. Familiarity with fabrication tools and equipment, including grinders, plasma cutters, and measuring tools (Tape measure, calipers, etc). Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment. Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds and assemblies. High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred but not required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
