Welder Job Description This role requires pipe and plate welding experience and the ability to read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and weld procedures. Basic math skills are necessary, along with the ability to read a tape measure. The welder should be willing to cross-train in other areas and departments as needed, including stud welding, blasting, and assembly. Responsibilities Weld using MIG, TIG, and FCAW processes. Read and interpret drawings, weld symbols, and weld procedures. Cross-train in other areas such as stud welding, blasting, and assembly. Work with hand and power tools common to the welding trade such as grinders, torches, plasma cutters, mag drills, and welding positioners. Operate forklifts and overhead cranes. Set up and operate welding machines. Prep, fit-up, weld, and assemble piping and plate materials of various thicknesses for fabrication of spiral heat exchangers. Essential Skills Pipe and plate welding experience. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures. Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding processes. Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure. Experience with hand and power tools common to the welding trade. Forklift and overhead crane operation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Candidates must pass 2G and 6G weld test Ability to lift materials up to 50 lbs. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
