Welder Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in a manufacturing and production environment. You will use your welding, grinding, and inspection skills to work on metal components. Responsibilities Carry out metal grinding to prepare and finish welded parts to required specifications. Conduct visual inspections of welds and fabricated parts to ensure quality and adherence to blueprints and standards. Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to complete welding and assembly tasks accurately. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during welding, grinding, and fabrication work. Support production goals by completing assigned welding and fabrication tasks within established timeframes. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety procedures and guidelines. Handle and move materials and components, including lifting up to 50 lbs as needed for production tasks. Essential Skills Manufacturing or production experience in a welding or metal fabrication environment. Experience with MIG welding. Experience with TIG welding. Ability to perform accurate visual inspection of welds and finished parts. Metal grinding experience for preparation and finishing of welds. Ability to read and understand blueprints and fabrication drawings. Capability to lift up to 50 lbs safely. Ability to use hand tools and related equipment in a production setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience welding on I-beams or similar structural components. High-volume production or manufacturing environments. Familiarity with basic fabrication practices and procedures. Attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
