Description
Set up and/or operate machine tools associated with fabricating shops to fulfill customer requirements and assure quality on each job.
Develop, layout, and plan sequence of operations.
Fabricate and assemble a variety of metal products.
Knowledge of lifting procedures and rigging relating to cranes, forklifts, and other lifting devices.
Knowledge of wire filler materials applications for various steel alloys, aluminum, and some exotic materials.
Applications using manual and power tools.
Demonstrate the ability to program machining centers and robotic welders.
Maintain a high level of craftsmanship.
Machine maintenance & safety; to include basic welding and press equipment.
Ability to interface with computer systems , complete paperwork, and conduct in-process inspection.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportion, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to maintain accurate records of times, measurements, inventory and procedures associated with the fabricating function.
Ability to use conventional and precision measuring instruments.
Ability to problem solve.
