Welder/Fabricator Franklin, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22863621 Summary Franklin, PA In-Person Competitive Salary 3 Years Experience No formal schooling No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day Shift / Full-Time Description About us: Oakland Products Inc. is a locally owned, family operated, fabrication business located in Franklin PA. We specialize in manufacturing industrial parts cleaning, drying, and polishing equipment. Our main products are Spin Dryers, Polishing Tumblers, and Screen Separators. We also design and build custom Parts Washers to meet our customers' needs Our work environment includes: Relaxed atmosphere On-the-job training Flexible working hours Who we are looking for: A full time (40hrs per week), 1st shift (7:00AM-3:30PM), Welder/Fabricator A part time (24hrs per week), 1st shift (7:00AM-3:30PM), Welder/Fabricator We are looking for a part time &/or full time, experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and a willingness to learn new skills. Qualified candidates will be responsible for cutting, fabricating, and welding products in a timely fashion, take directions from their supervisor, and be able to finish tasks on time while following safety regulations and protocol.
Responsibilities:
Use hand tools and equipment to measure, cut, fabricate, and weld parts and machines per blueprints Read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to welding using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Follow step-by-step instructions when fabricating/welding products Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions Be able to weld various thicknesses (18GA up to 1/2" thick) of carbon and stainless steel using
MIG, MIG
w/ Flux Core wire, and TIG Examine finished work pieces for conformance to quality standards Properly maintain and clean your work area, tools, and equipment Perform General Labor duties as needed Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred Mechanically inclined Able to read blueprints Able to use measuring tools- tape measure, calipers, rulers, etc. Weld carbon and stainless steel using Mig and Tig welders Excellent written and verbal communication skills
