Job Description

Eastern Caisson Corp is looking for an experienced Part-Time Construction & Heavy Equipment Welder to help support our growing workload. This is not a production or machine-shop welding position. Our welding work supports heavy construction operations and includes repairs, modifications, and fabrication involving construction equipment, drilling tools, and other heavy steel components. We are looking for someone who can work a minimum of 24 hours per week. Scheduling can be flexible based on availability, including daytime or evening hours. There is also potential for full-time employment if desired and company needs develop. What You'll Do
  • MIG and stick/arc welding
  • Repair and modification of construction equipment and components
  • Welding and repair of drilling tools and related equipment
  • Fabrication and repair of heavy steel components
  • Work with worn, damaged, and previously welded material
  • Perform welding in a variety of positions and working conditions
  • Assist with other shop and equipment-related work as needed Qualifications
  • Previous MIG and stick/arc welding experience required
  • Experience welding and repairing construction or heavy equipment strongly preferred
  • Ability to weld heavier material in positions other than on a welding table
  • Ability to work independently and determine appropriate repair methods
  • Air arc/gouging experience is a plus
  • Hardfacing experience is a plus
  • Experience with construction, drilling, excavation, or similar heavy equipment is a plus
  • Dependable and able to maintain a consistent part-time schedule Schedule

00-$35.00 per hour , depending on experience and capabilities. We're looking for someone with practical welding experience who is comfortable working on construction equipment and heavy steel. This position may be a good fit for an experienced welder looking for a flexible schedule without stepping away from the trade.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
