Ashland Technologies, a leading contract metals manufacturer based in Central Pennsylvania, is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to join our dynamic team. Specializing in a range of manufacturing services including laser cutting, press brakes, welding, machining, powder coating, and assembly, we deliver high-quality solutions to our clients, including the production of vending machines, VR, and roller coasters. As a Welder, you will play a crucial role in fabricating small to medium-sized weldments, ensuring they meet the technical requirements and quality standards expected by our diverse client base. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications, understanding symbols, tolerances, and technical requirements for fitting and welding tasks. Perform MIG welding on various metals, ensuring compliance with

welding code standards. Prepare materials and equipment for welding, including the setup of components for welding according to specifications. Conduct tests and inspections of welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure quality control. Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Assist in the training and development of junior staff, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement. Collaborate with other departments to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Qualifications Proven experience as a Welder, with strong skills in MIG welding processes. Familiarity with the
AWS D1.1
welding code and capable of passing a D1.1 welder qualification test. Strong understanding of blueprints, welding symbols, tolerances, and technical requirements for complex weldments. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to quality and safety. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Preferred Skills Skills in TIG welding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel are a significant plus. Certifications or the ability to become certified in additional welding processes or techniques.
