Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that projects meet strict quality standards and adhere to safety protocols. Duties Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, and other specialized welding techniques to join metals according to project specifications. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements and procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and pipe threading equipment to prepare materials for welding and assembly. Conduct pipe bending, tube fabrication, and fitting tasks in accordance with ASME codes & standards for pipelines, HVAC systems, or fire sprinkler installations. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by rigging materials properly and adhering to OSHA regulations. Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance. Measure materials accurately using calipers and other measuring devices; perform basic math calculations for precise fabrication. Solder electrical components when necessary for system connections or repairs. Follow schematics and technical instructions to assemble or repair plumbing, piping systems, or mechanical components. Support team efforts in construction projects by assisting with rigging, assembly, or maintenance tasks as needed. Experience Proven experience in MIG welding, FCAW, TIG welding, or related techniques within manufacturing or construction environments. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and technical drawings is essential. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to pipeline fabrication and pressure vessel construction. Hands-on experience with pipe threading, tube bending, and the use of hand tools and power tools in industrial settings. Prior work on construction sites involving HVAC systems, plumbing installations, fire sprinkler fitting or pipeline assembly is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to read technical diagrams enhances your effectiveness in this role. Ability to work safely at heights or in confined spaces while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on precision welding and quality control.
